CRISTINA MAZZA ALTO SAX Cristina Mazza was born in Milano (Italy) on july 20 1955. Now she lives near Verona, on the Lake of Garda. At the end of seventies she appeared on the italian scene as saxophonist and band leader. Her approach to music was initially influenced by Miles Davis and Ornette Coleman. In 1983 she obtained the diploma for classical saxophone at the Conservatory of Bologna. She has attended workshops given by Giorgio Gaslini (1983-1984), Mal Waldron and Steve Lacy (1984-1988).
